In the archeological museum that is located on Atatürk Street in Çanakkale city center, there are 12.747 pieces of artifacts, 15.237 coins and 2.714 ethnographic work of art.

The museum is open every day whole year and it is visited by local and domestic tourists. It is open between the hours 8:00am and 7:00pm between April 15 and October 2 and between October 3 and April 14, it is open between the hours 8:00am and 5:00pm.

There are also some findings, which are from the ancient cities in Çanakkale and their surroundings, in the garden of the museum where the findings are sorted chronically.

According to the regulation set by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, museums and archeological sites are closed until 1:00pm on the first day of religious festivals.
